November in Shanghai is a special time for art professionals and enthusiasts. This is all due to the most significant event in the Chinese contemporary art calendar, Shanghai Art Week. It features many museum and gallery exhibitions, but the main ones are West Bund Art & Design and ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair.
One of China’s earliest and largest art fairs ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair (www.art021.org) was held for the 12th time in 2024. Declared as a global vision based on local roots, ART021 commits to providing an international communication and trading platform for galleries, museums, art institutions, collectors and art lovers.
This year, the fair ran from November 7 to 10 at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre and presented 131 participating galleries and projects from forty-three cities across twenty countries and regions.

Art021 is a key commercial event of The 6th Shanghai International Art Trade Week and part of The 23rd China Shanghai International Arts Festival. It was held in partnership with Dior, Hermès, and Porsche China. Dior was presenting an exhibition programme dedicated to the brand's heritage. Porsche curates The 2024 - 2025 Porsche Young Chinese Artist of The Year Nominated Exhibition, dedicated to discovering and supporting emerging Chinese artists.
